Objectives:

After viewing this program, the participant will be able to

  • Identify common areas for orthopedic injuries of the head (concussion etc), eyes as well as tooth injuries
  • identify common areas for orthopedic injuries of the upper extremities (shoulder, elbow, wrist and fingers)
  • identify common areas for orthopedic injuries of the lower extremities (hip, knee, and ankle)
  • identify how to complete an acute assessment of injuries to these areas

Presenter:

1 Tylee Tylee Schrafnagel received her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology – Athletic Training from the University of Wisconsin and her master’s degree in Human Physiology – Athletic Training from Boston University. She also completed a Residency in Neurotrauma and Spine at BU before becoming the full-time athletic trainer at Chelsea Public Schools in 2017. She works closely with the nursing staff in the Chelsea district and has a passion for interprofessional collaboration and community health.
